Go read this post, right now: Matching
It's absolutely beautiful and inspiring. I admit I cried just a little bit.
Then come back and tell me what you think. Shouldn't we all try, just a little bit harder, not to match?
I wish I could form more coherent thoughts to tell you why I loved it so much.

Rolling, rolling, rolling
We didn't see it, but Jeric just rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time. Husband put him down on his back on his play gym mat and when we looked again he was on his tummy. Way to go Jeric!

Right Now...
I'm letting Jeric chew on my phone while I attempt to eat lunch.
And if he drops it and can't pick it up, I pick it up and give it back to him.
Also, he has spent most of the day squealing (very loudly) just for the heck of it.
Darn it...that squeal was mad. I think lunchtime is over.

A few more pictures.
This is what he was doing while I was working on the other post. I gave him my camera case (just the case, not the camera) to play with.
He's at the stage where everything goes straight into his mouth. (Awesome)
He was smiling and grinning up a storm until he saw the camera, then he got shy. I almost got a smile in the last one!
Such a sweet, sweet boy.

Playing
These first two are just cute and show how big Jeric is getting.

This afternoon we were playing with the play gym and Jeric was modeling his new sweater that was made for him by my aunt's mother-in-law. I think it is very very cute.
He's a little mad in the first picture because I was taking pictures instead of playing with him, but then I made funny faces and he cheered right up.
And OH MY GOODNESS his face in the third picture down!

Sick mom = No good
About a week and a half ago Husband got a cold, and I picked it up a few days later when he was feeling mostly better. Thankfully, Jeric didn't get it.
On Monday this week I woke up with an upset stomach and spent most of the day in the bathroom (I'll spare you the details). Poor Jeric. I was so weak and nauseated I couldn't even lift him (what, he's getting heavy!), so he spent most of the day in the living room in the swing watching Disney movies. (I know, I'm a terrible mother. But what could I do? )
Tuesday was much the same but I felt less sick, just weak.
Wednesday I felt sick again, and very weak, because I hadn't had more than 2 pieces of dry toast and some water since SUNDAY NIGHT.
Thursday, finally, I felt human again.
And I signed on to my email, and there were a LOT.
And I got on my Google Reader, and there were even MORE (I'm marking a bunch of things as read without reading them).
And I don't know when or how I'm going to catch up on the housework.
But I think Jeric suffered the most. He was so desperate to play with Mommy, and Mommy did the best she could and did play a little bit every day (breathing in the opposite direction and washing her hands thoroughly multiple times before touching the child) but it just wasn't enough, so we cuddled pretty much all day today (Thursday, I know it's past midnight and actually Friday, but for some reason I can't sleep).
AND IT WAS FABULOUS. I love that kid.
(Thankfully Husband didn't catch this particular bug and was able to help out a lot in the evenings after work and school, and Jeric hasn't shown any signs of sickness so far.)
