I guess I forgot to post these

Here are some of the bride-and-groom shots from our wedding. I meant to post them at the same time I posted the others a few weeks ago, but I forgot. Sorry. Again, I'm going to post them in chunks. Enjoy.

Last One. Really.

I know, I know. I go weeks (or at least days) without posting, and then I post several things all at once. I really don't know what my deal is. Sorry.

But this is the last one tonight. It is, I promise!

We finally have our professional wedding pictures. It only took 6 months for them to get from the photographer to my mother to me. Oh well. I got to see proofs online after just a few weeks. Now I have them all on CD so I can make as many copies as I want :)

Here are a few of them, just for fun. Collage style. Because collages are cool. And because I can post more pictures that way :) Anyways, enjoy them. These are just the ones with groups of people.

I'll have to post the couples shots another day. I'm getting tired. My bed calls to me. And besides, Friday is my early day...I'll be at the temple by 6! It's my favorite part of the week.

The best list ever

Tonight on gmail I was talking to one of our friends who is getting married in a few weeks. He told me I could post our conversation, as long as I kept it anonymous :)

Him: So I think I'm sick of roommates.
Me: I know what you mean. Why in particular?
Him: I have a list. [at this point I am laughing out loud...]
1. When I wake up in the morning, I don't want to see a guy.
Me: A good start to this list.
Him: 2. Guys smell bad.
3. Roommates feel no obligation to clean the apartment.
Me: Ha! I'm liking this list, please continue.
Him: 4. You almost have to schedule time to be in your own living room.
Me: Seriously.
Him: 5. Your cupboards are full of food that you aren't allowed to eat.
6. Your closet is full of stuff that isn't yours.
Me: And your fridge is full of rotting food that you aren't allowed to throw away!
Him: Yes!
7. There is always a conflict in schedules...I may need to be at my desk working on something and my roommate may need to go to bed, or I need to go to bed and my roommate is inclined to entertain people.

Needless to say, Husband and I were highly entertained by this list. We just had to post it! I'm sure that many of you can relate. I had some great roommates over the years (and some not-so-great roommates), but I'm glad that those days are behind me!

Our wedding and more

Here they come...the promised pictures. I knew I'd post them...eventually. Enjoy!

At the Washington DC Temple the night of my endowment, the day before our wedding.

Coming out of the temple right after the wedding. Yay! (My brother put the camera in black-and-white mode, I'm not sure why).

With a bit of the temple in the background...too bad you can't see the spires! I loved my irises!

I didn't have any pictures on my camera of us with our families, sorry. When (if) I get some, I'll post them.

At the beach in Hawaii, where we honeymooned.

Still in Hawaii.

At the Laie Hawaii Temple. It was gorgeous both inside and out!

At the Polynesian Cultural Center, one of the most awesome things we did in Hawaii.

With the 17-ft U-haul (we were supposed to have a 10-ft, but they didn't have any, or any 14-fts, so we ended up with a 17-ft) we drove back to Utah. Long trip!

I took this one while we were stopped for gas, I think in Tennessee. Tennessee is one of the LONGEST states EVER, by the way...it took us something like 8 hours.

Husband drove nearly all the way, but here I am doing a little bit. I drove for a few hours through Texas and New Mexico. Talk about nerve-wracking..that's a big truck, and it had a car being towed behind it!

I also have a lot of pictures from the afternoon stopover we made in Irving, Texas, where Husband's brother's family lives. I'll have to do another post on that. Maybe not tonight, but soon!

We're Here!

Husband and I made it back to Utah on Wednesday after an eventful two weeks. A quick summary: We left P-town for NC on 22 April, got married in Washington DC on the 25th, had our reception in NC on the 26th, honeymooned in Hawaii from 27 April until 1 May, arrived back in NC on the 2nd, left to drive back to Utah on the 4th, spent the afternoon with Husband's brother's family on the 5th, kept driving and arrived in Provo on the 7th. Whew. Lots of traveling!

Anyways, this is just a quick "hello" to get the new blog up and running. Pictures and details and such are coming as soon as I get a computer in our apartment. My laptop is still broken, so we're going to rent a desktop from BYU, but it's too late to get one today so that will have to wait until Monday. But that's ok because there's not really anywhere to put it at the moment. I still have a LOT of unpacking to do! Hopefully we can get that done over the weekend...

And just so you know, we are very happy to finally be married and in our own place!
