Two wrong numbers

Since we're living in on-campus married student housing, our apartment came with a phone line. Most people still use my cell phone, but a few people use the apartment phone -- mostly just people from church, and my grandma who lives locally. Needless to say, we don't get many calls at that number.

Yesterday, though, I got two wrong-number calls. Weird.

The first was some guy calling for some girl named Jaelyn, I think. First of all, I don't know a Jaelyn. Second of all, she definitely doesn't live here. This poor guy was so confused. He asked me to verify the number he had dialed and read off the number he had intended to dial. Sure enough, he didn't mis-dial. I guess some girl just gave him a phony number? (No pun intended)

A few hours later the phone rang again. I answered it after a couple of rings. Here's how that conversation went:

Me: Hello?
Woman on the phone: Is this BYU?
Me: Umm...no...
Woman on the phone: Oh, sorry.

I had a funny call when Cory and I were first married. The person asked for "Brother Russell" and assuming they meant my father-in-law, proceeded to have this 10 minute conversation about him, the family and the church. Only to discover at the end of that 10 minutes that they were actually looking for Brother Russell, the pastor of a local church down there, NOT my father-in-law. My explanations at that point just made me sound like an idiot and I got off as quickly as I could. *sigh* What can you do? :)

This is really random, but are you going to grad school and if you do, are you thinking BYU?

I ask, because I'm researching grad schools right now, and it looks like I could ACTUALLY get into BYU, and I've heard from more than one person that it's a good program. Plus, I'm thinking I want a major change of scenery.

Do you think you'll be out there for a while?
