The kids in Nursery were really difficult today.
Now, don't get me wrong, they're still really cute. It's just that there were a lot of them today, and they had a lot of energy, and most of it was used up either fighting with the other children or crying for mommy.
There were 10-12 of them (it varied depending on how many we'd had to take back to their parents for a little while and how many had been brought back by their parents) and 4 adults.
The poor kids, they haven't had much stability in who is in charge this summer. So many people have been moving in and out, and it's caused a lot of inconsistency. As soon as we can get them back in a good schedule, I know they'll be just fine.
That is, just fine other than occasionally crying for mommy (or daddy, in one child's case...he never asks for his mom, just for his dad).

I can understand why you are so tired. I substituted in Nursery before I got called in to Primary and I really do admire those who serve in the Nursery. By no means is it a simple calling. I'm sure the Lord will bless you and Steven tremendously for your efforts or it can at least serve as mental birth control. LOL! :D
Technically I'm not a Nursery person. I'm a "Primary worker," which basically means that I'm in either Primary or Nursery, depending on where I'm needed more. Lately it's been in the Nursery...mostly because all our Primary kids moved out (it's a married student ward, so most people are finished with school and move out before their kids are Primary age).
Every member of the church should substitute in nursery at least one Sunday, just so they'll know how it is. We have a huge primary (therefore a huge nursery) and while I think the leaders do a GREAT job, it is just controlled chaos much of the time. Bless your heart. :) Although I'm certainly tempted to trade jobs with you...
I have to say, I hate being in the Nursery, I know that sounds bad, but I only get to go to sac meeting, and I don't like waking up at 8:00 to go babysit other people's children for two hours while THEY get to go to sunday school and relief society! I am going to be in a ward with no children in Provo!
this is my replacement for facebook. love ya!
