I don't get it

Why is it that the baby is tired all evening and sleeps between feedings, but then around midnight wants to eat and gets really fussy and won't settle down enough to go back to sleep until he's fed again around 3?

Good thing I don't ever have to be anywhere before noon unless I want to be and we can sleep until 10 if I want.

At least after he goes back to sleep at 3 he only wakes up every 4 hours or so for long enough to eat and then goes back to sleep.

And, for your viewing pleasure, here is a picture to show you how fat he's getting. I will soon (hopefully) make several posts of pictures and things that have happened recently.

Oh my word, Kathryn!!! He is so cute! :) I cannot tell you how much I love baby chub. I wish I had the answer for you, but it must be the witching hour or something. ;) My babies have liked to play during the night too. Fortunately, they seem to grow out of it!

He is so cute and he is getting those chubby rolls that we all love!
Maylee kind of did what Joshua is doing. She had her days and nights confused. She would want to be up until 3 in the morning and then sleep all day. The doctor told me that as she got older, her brain would recognize sleep times. It took her about a month to get over it...so hang in there!

Oh, he is so stinkin' cute!!!

Start making him be awake more during the day. At least that's what we did with ours. He'll get it eventually :)

Babies sleeping patterns are so confusing! I'm not even sure you can call it a pattern :) Give him a few months and he'll get it all figured out. Hope you are surviving and enjoying motherhood!
