Here are some other pictures from that month.
Daddy getting Rosebud dressed to go home from the birth center. She was probably 3.5-4 hours old here.
The next several are from the day Rosebud was born, after we got home.
Snuggling with Grandma.
Grandpa kisses.
Cousin Kiera.
Cousin Lathen.
Aunt Joni (who was very much not wanting to be pregnant anymore, since BOTH her pregnant relatives had given birth that same day).
Two days old.
Two days old.
Two days old, and proof that 9-lb babies don't ever fit in newborn-size clothes (I had been given quite a few N outfits from ladies at church, so I changed her outfit several times a day for the first few days, just so I could say she'd worn them all. Ha.)
Jumping on Mom and Dad's bed (sheets were being washed; he loves the memory foam mattress pad).
Two days postpartum! And still feeling great :)
Wrestling.
And sword-fighting.
Nene snuggles. (I never recorded this here, somehow, but Jeric wasn't able to say "Granny" when he was younger (under two), so he said Nene [pronounced like "knee-knee"] instead and it stuck.)
Peeking at Papa through one eye.
With Aunt Anna. Four days old.
Napping. Four days old.
Jeric fell asleep in the car when we were running some errands, so they both took a little nap when we got home.
Sister kisses; Rosebud is 5 days old.
Jeric and Grandma.
Six days old and bright-eyed.
Resting on Mommy; 8 days old.
I didn't put her hood over her eyes like that, but I thought it was hilarious when we got home and I saw it.
Sandwich.
Propped; 10 days old.
Rosebud and her cousin (in utero here and here). Rosebud was 11 days old, and baby D was 1 day old. (Pardon the hole in my jeans; I was 11 days postpartum and my old ripped play-on-the-floor-with-the-kids jeans were the only ones that fit.)
Jeric's "tiny snowman" -- the only time all winter that it snowed enough to do even this much.
What Rosebud did while Jeric was playing in the snow.
In the snow with Papa.
One of Jeric's Christmas presents last year was the Little People Nativity Set. One day all the people/animal pieces disappeared (the stable and other "scenery" pieces were still on the shelf). It was several days before we found them...in Husband's sock drawer!
