Birthday, haircut and other pictures

My birthday was Thursday and I decided that my birthday present to me would be a haircut. As Jeric got bigger, he pulled it more and more often. It was also long enough that I would sleep on it, or Husband would. Besides, it has been almost two years since I cut it significantly, so I was due for a cut.

[Every couple of years I grow my hair out really long and then chop it all off. It's fun.]

So far I really like my hair cut. It isn't actually as straight as it looks in these pictures because the weight of my long hair pulled it straight, but without the weight it goes poofy and I have to straighten it -- worth it because now Jeric can't pull it as much. So the ends are a little flippier than they seem here.

More about my birthday:
Husband bought me a book and a movie and took me out to dinner for my birthday. The book was the newest (last? I don't know) in the Fablehaven series. I haven't read it yet because it's been a while since I read the others and I want to read them again first. The movie was Hercules, because (if you remember), we were watching it when I realized my on-again-off-again contractions were getting closer together and more intense -- and that's what I count as the beginning of labor. Good times.

And now some random pictures, mostly of sweet Jeric.

I found this picture on my camera when I was uploading all these pictures. I'm kind of mad at Husband about it.

Husband's favorite "monster outfit" -- he picked it out for Jeric.

Sweet sleeping boy.

Hanging out with Daddy in the awesome bathrobe.

Just some cuddling.

6 months!

Jeric turned 6 months old on Tuesday and we took him to the doctor for his checkup yesterday.

Weight: 18 pounds 6 ounces (somewhere above 60th percentile*)
Height: 28 inches (92nd percentile)
Head Circumference: 17.25 inches ( 51st percentile)

He's right on track developmentally and doing good. The doctor said his checkup was "perfect."

We sure love our boy!

*We think the nurse was confused. She wrote down 18.06 and put 18 pounds in the computer to calculate the percentile, but then when we looked at the scale while waiting for the doctor it was labeled pounds and ounces, so he's actually 18 pounds 6 ounces. Eighteen pounds is the 60th percentile, so he's actually somewhere above that.
