Why I am really tired right now, Part II

The kids in Nursery were really difficult today.

Now, don't get me wrong, they're still really cute. It's just that there were a lot of them today, and they had a lot of energy, and most of it was used up either fighting with the other children or crying for mommy.

There were 10-12 of them (it varied depending on how many we'd had to take back to their parents for a little while and how many had been brought back by their parents) and 4 adults.

The poor kids, they haven't had much stability in who is in charge this summer. So many people have been moving in and out, and it's caused a lot of inconsistency. As soon as we can get them back in a good schedule, I know they'll be just fine.

That is, just fine other than occasionally crying for mommy (or daddy, in one child's case...he never asks for his mom, just for his dad).

Why I am really tired right now, Part I

Yesterday we climbed a mountain.

We climbed up to Squaw Peak, which overlooks Utah Valley. It was a pretty fun hike. Well, once I got past the I-can't-breathe part. It wasn't the hardest hike I've ever done (that distinction will probably always lie with Mount Timpanogos, which I hiked almost 2 years ago), but it was challenging in its own right.

We hiked with two couples from our ward, the Rostrums and the Sharps. The Sharps had to leave early because Nate had to work, which was sad. But we and the Rostrums finally made it to the top after almost 4 hours of hiking. (It only took us two hours to make it down...going down is so much easier...)

All in all, it was a lot of fun. I'm glad we went...and that I made it! haha.

I thought this mountain was very pretty. It's just south of Squaw Peak across Rock Canyon.

Rachel's Wedding

I mentioned the other day that we were going to my friend's wedding the next morning. Rachel invited us to the sealing in the Salt Lake Temple. It was a beautiful ceremony, of course, as they all are. I was so glad we were able to attend!

Afterward there were a lot of pictures to be taken. It was a pretty warm day, so I was glad we were in the shade the whole time. Rachel was gorgeous and she and her husband Alex were radiating joy. The luncheon was right after (yum). Husband was really excited...he was hungry!

Unfortunately I forgot my camera that morning, so I don't have any pictures of that part. The reception was that evening and I remembered it then!

It's back.

Sometime between 3:30 (when I went to sleep) and 7:00 (when Husband got up to check), our water was turned back on.

I'm taking this as very good news :)

Thanks to Brad who was willing to help us out this morning. You're the best.

Water

We have no water, and I don't know why.

It randomly went off right around midnight.

We were not informed that our water would be turned off.

I hope this was just an oversight, and that it does not mean that there is something crazy going on with our plumbing.

Oh, and did I mention that we have a wedding to go to in the morning? In Salt Lake. And we have to leave by 9.

Yeah, the water better be turned back on. Soon.
