I have turned into a very clumsy person in the last few weeks. Mostly I just hit my head on stuff with alarming frequency.
First I almost closed a car door on my head. The car was hooked up on a tow-dolly for the trip to Utah, and I had to get something out of it. When I went to close the door, I forgot that it was at a different angle than usual and that gravity would make it close faster than usual. So the corner clipped me behind the ear. Ow. That one hurt for a couple of days!
When we were moving our stuff into our apartment, I had to bend over a lot to pick up boxes, put boxes down, etc. Hit my head a couple of times then too.
In our shower-bath there are a couple of bars on the long wall. One is horizontal above the built-in soap dish thing, and the other is attached to it vertically. I'm not entirely sure why they're there. Anyways, I'm constantly hitting my head on the vertical bar when I bend down to pick up the shampoo or something. Husband hears me say "Ow!" and just starts laughing.
I've also hit my head on our bookcase a few times.
I don't know what's wrong with me, but it's kind of funny. I've never been this way before!

Maybe you should get fitted for a helmet!!
I miss yousssss!! And I love you MUCHO!
I'm TOTALLY teasing about this, but my mom always said she got really clumsy when she was pregnant!
Two weeks ago, I hit my arm on the purse/coat hook in the bathroom at Chili's (the handicapped stall). Funny thing was just the day before, I was wondering why those are at the top of doors. Now I know, since it was in the middle of the door for that stall! I got a bruise about 2 in. diameter - pretty big considering the size of the end of the hook. I had to hide it for a few days just in case people would think something totally not true!
I hope that your injuries are healing and you get used to the crazy placement of bars, etc. I've always got bruises that I'm not sure where they came from, though.
Oh dear, maybe that's what's wrong with me! (the thing about Aunt Alene, I mean...) hehe, we will see! :)
I've always been a little clumsy. It's one of my many talents. :) Pregnancy really does seem to make me clumsier, too, so I'm right in the thick of things. Just last night we were playing "Duck, Duck, Goose" and when I was running after one of the kids, I totally fell down and busted. Fortunately I was fine. :) Ironically, I was the ONLY one who fell during the game. Nice.
Kathryn, your cranial cavity has its own built in helmet that works pretty well, but you need to do your part to protect those neurons. You won't get new ones. Remember that!
Gee, thanks, Marissa.
:)
Funny things love does to you, it even messes with your equilibrium!
About the weather here. I have to clarify that chilly to me is about 60 degrees! But I love the break from the 100's.
