My brothers

Today I went to the Creamery on Ninth to pick up a couple of things. For those of you who don't know, it's basically a little-bitty grocery store located on the edge of campus. Not a great selection, but it's the closest to where we live, and I was pretty sure all the stuff I needed would be there. So, off I went.

Well, on the way I noticed a lot of teenage boys playing catch or something outside the dorms I passed by. I was kind of confused for a second, and then I realized that it's EFY time already (EFY is a week-long summer-camp-type-thing for kids ages 14-18). They have taken over campus...again. :) Really I don't mind, they crack me up!

Side story: A few years ago I lived in a certain off-campus apartment during the summer. The fastest way to campus was through the dorms, where there were EFY kids galore. The little boys liked to hit on the older girls passing through. Fun times. End of side story :)

Anyway, the Creamery, which also has a grill and yummy ice cream, was absolutely FULL of EFY kids. I guess it was free time and they all wanted ice cream or a burger? And snacks for their dorm rooms. Lots of snacks. I saw a couple of boys buy no less than half a dozen boxes of Little Debbie snack cakes and cookies...Ridiculous. They'll probably be gone tomorrow, too.

Enough of the back story. I finished getting my stuff and went out to my car, where I texted my brothers to inform them that it's EFY time again. Brother2, who is 16, immediately texted me back.

"If you talk to any hott ones show them a picture of me and give them my number ;)"

What a funny kid. I told him I would (just to see how he'd react, because I figured he wasn't being serious), and he said, "I was joking but if you want to, go for it." :)

Brother1, who is turning 19 in a few months and will be beginning his two-year church mission then, said to start passing out pictures so the girls can see what they have to look forward to in 2 years. Again, he wasn't being serious.

But why would either of them be serious? They're my brothers, they're never serious.

I love those kids.

Haha. Brothers trip me out. Mine are the same way. I love calling and asking them for advice on something. It cracks me up. You reminded me of something that happened the other night. Maybe I'll post about it on my blog. :)

Don't you love brothers! That's all I had growing up so I have no idea how sisters are, but I did have a lot of fun being surrounded by crazy boys all the time. And your brothers sure are crazy!!
