My sister

The other day I posted about my brothers. I'm not sure if anyone in my family knows this, but I'm kind of suspicious that my sister does and was jealous. So today she gets her own post.

On Friday night around 8 my phone started ringing. It wasn't a number I recognized, but I could tell that it was a cell phone from the area where I grew up. So I answered it. Whoever it was (and the voice sounded vaguely familiar, but I couldn't place it...it sounded like a girl around 12 or so) asked if Mark was there. I told her that she had the wrong number. I heard a loud burst of laughter (it sounded like SEVERAL girls around age 12) before the line went dead. I told Husband that it sounded like a bunch of middle school girls having a sleepover trying to call a boy that one of them liked.

Two seconds later, my phone was ringing again...same number. I ignored it. They called again. This time Husband answered....and it was my sister, who will be 12 in a couple of weeks. At this point I remembered that my mom had told me earlier that she was getting ready to take Sister to a friend's house for a sleepover. Oh joy. I've been prank-called by 12-year-olds. Well, that's a first.

Apparently they decided to do prank calls, and then Sister suggested that they call me. At the last moment they decided to make it a prank and handed the phone to one of the other girls so she could ask for a boy...I think they picked the name "Mark" out of thin air (at least I've never heard of a Mark in their class at school). The voice I heard sounded vaguely familiar because I've answered the phone at my parents' house when she has called in the past.
